RESPONSIBILITIES

As a receptionist with us, you provide essential service and enable actions that impact many. In the role of receptionist, you are a central part of Region Västerbotten and ensure that the right people receive the right information at the right time. You are the spider in the web – the one who connects internal and external calls, relays critical alarms such as medical alerts, burglary, and operational alarms, and manages orders such as sign language interpretation and contact with security companies for helicopter landings. You also register fault reports in IT systems and contribute to smooth operations around the clock.

The switchboard is open 24/7 all year round. Working hours are varied, which means you will work days, nights, evenings, and weekends according to the current schedule.

For the alarm service, approved authorization is required, so a 6-month probationary period will apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in customer and service-oriented operations who enjoys juggling multiple tasks. If you have worked with alarm management or in a larger switchboard, that is a plus. The computer is your primary working tool, so you need to have good computer skills. We also want you to have good oral and written skills in Swedish and be able to express yourself well in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you need to be service-oriented, attentive, and communicative. You are meticulous, take responsibility, and have the ability to remain calm when many things are happening at once. In the switchboard, several critical situations can arise simultaneously – your strength is to prioritize quickly and act with focus. You enjoy collaborating in a team but are equally comfortable working independently.
